Korean Foods
Korean cuisine centers on rice, vegetables, seafood, and meats, with dairy rarely used in traditional dishes. Meals often include several side dishes called banchan alongside steamed short-grain rice. Kimchi, a fermented cabbage dish, is served at almost every meal. Key ingredients include sesame oil, fermented bean paste (doenjang), soy sauce, garlic, ginger, chili flakes (gochugaru), chili paste (gochujang), salt, and napa cabbage.
